Kaliyuga Arts
Kaliyuga Arts was founded in Los Angeles in 1986 by John Sowle and Steven Patterson. We produced four critically acclaimed shows there which received multiple awards. We continued producing when we moved to San Francisco, and again our fifteen productions there were greeted with awards and ecstatic reviews. In 2005 we relocated to New York City where we produced three highly successful shows, two at the historic Cherry Lane Theatre and one at Judson Memorial Church. Now we've settled for good in upstate New York. In 2012 we presented Lanford Wilson's brilliant, iconic play The Mound Builders and in 2013 we presented two of Canadian playwright Brad Fraser plays, True Love Lies and the U.S. preview of his incredible Kill Me Now, all at Stageworks in Hudson. However, ever since we moved to Catskill we hoped to establish a presence in Greene County. To that end, we purchased a building just across the Uncle Sam Bridge from downtown Catskill which we dubbed Bridge Street Theatre, and now Kaliyuga Arts has become Bridge Street Theatre and we have a spectacular, permanent home for our productions
